Notice of Financial Incentive: Vernalo Referral Program
Summary. If you opt in, we record which account invited which account so we can give referral bonuses. The bonus is 5 more free plantings for you and 5 for your friend when your friend becomes an Activated Friend.
Material terms. An Activated Friend is a new account created through your link that is verified with a supported sign-in, has at least 3 plantings and is at least 7 days old. Each account gets the bonus once, permanently. It has no cash value and cannot be transferred. Sharing or link opens alone never earn it. The program is not available in mainland China or Italy. Full terms: Terms of Service, Section 23.
Personal information involved. The account IDs of the inviter and the invited person, the share link used, the sign-up date, whether the account met the activation conditions, and whether a bonus was given. We do not collect your contacts, or the names or emails of people you invite. We do not sell or share this information for advertising.
Value of your data and how we calculated it. We value the referral information at what it costs us to provide the bonus it enables (expenses related to offering the incentive, 11 CCR §7081(a)(6)). That cost is storing and serving 5 more plantings for each of two accounts. We estimate it at less than US$0.01 per Activated Friend, because extra plantings are not sold separately and add only a small amount of data to an account.
How to opt in. Tap "Join the referral program", confirm that you are 16 or older, and agree to the program terms. If you were invited, you confirm when you create your account through the link.
How to withdraw. At any time in Settings > Referral Program, or by emailing plant@plantanywhere.net. We then stop recording new referrals for you and delete your referral links to other accounts within 30 days. Bonus plantings already given stay yours, and nothing else about the service changes.
